Words & Photos by Tom Horna.
Recently we have visited the lovely guys at Classic Performance Engineering to take some photos of their workshop and the amazing Ferrari 625 F1 caught our attention. Significantly I might add! You can see the CPE workshop over here.
For the 1954 F1 season and the return of engine regulations to Formula One, Ferrari modified their 1952 and ’53 world championship winning 500’s by boring and stroking the four cylinder engine. The modified racers complied with the new regulations and with the 2.5-litre engine Ferrari 625 went to win two races, one each in 1954 and 1955.
